Description

Let the OSCA train and prepare your staff for a successful role on your team. Level 1 contains 12 hours of staff education on the topics of :

Chiropractic Philosophy – 3 hours (Chapters 1, 2 and 3)

  • Brief History of Chiropractic
  • Chiropractic Techniques – a survey and discussion of the top 5-10 techniques used by DC’s
  • Chiropractic “Conditions”- The 5-10 most common conditions that bring patients to a chiropractor
  • “Straight vs Mixer” Chiropractic Philosophy- Discuss the similarities and differences (unbiased assessment)
  • Ancillary Services and their Purpose in a Chiropractic Office
  • Chiropractic Colleges’ influence on Philosophy and Technique
  • How Philosophy and Techniques affect Clinic Operations
  • How to Support your Provider’s Philosophy in Clinic Operations

Day in the Office (Flow of Patients, etc) – 3 hours (Chapters 4, 5 and 6)

  • Survey of Staff Positions and their roles in patient care
  • How each Staff role contributes to patient satisfaction and patient compliance
  • Communication techniques and their importance in effective and consistent communication amongst all staff members during patient time.  Includes discussion of interoffice communication and staff/patient communication.
  • Patient flow from Opening to Closing – Department and Interdepartmental activities from the time a practice opens until the final checks and balances of the day.  Includes a compliance checklist for each department.
  • Interdepartmental Staff Training and Exercises to help with Practice Efficiency and Compliance.

Introduction to Insurance and Compliance for Everyone  3 hours (Chapters 7, 8 &9)

  • What is Health Insurance
  • Basic Types of Health Insurance
  • How Insurance Laws affect patient care and communication in each staff position
  • Overview of HIPAA
  • Overview of OSHA
  • Overview of Documentation Compliance and its importance in clinic operations

Common Terminology for the CA and Laws & Rules of the Board that touch the CA Role3 hours (Chapters 10, 11, 12)
